Is Whispie Quest free? +
Yes, Quest is free to download. The free plan lets you start 4 activities a day in your first week, then 2 a day. Curriculum Mode is open to everyone for the first 7 days. Whispie Quest Premium removes the daily limit and unlocks the full library and Curriculum Mode. No ads either way.
What ages is Quest designed for? +
Quest is designed for children ages 0 to 6. Activities and the Curriculum plan are personalised by age and adapt as your child grows, so a 6-month-old and a 5-year-old each get age-appropriate suggestions.
What is Curriculum Mode? +
Curriculum Mode is a personalised weekly learning plan built on the CDC & AAP 2022 developmental milestones. It starts with a short developmental check to understand where your child is across 8 areas: motor, language, cognitive, social, emotional, creative, sensory, and physical. Each week's activities are adapted to your child's level, with an observation prompt so you know what to watch for. The plan adjusts as your child grows. It is free for the first 7 days, then part of Premium.
Does Quest need an internet connection? +
Yes — Quest loads each session's activities from our secure servers, so children always get fresh, age-appropriate content. Child mode itself is locked down: no browser, no ads, no external links. Only the activities you've launched are visible.
How does Quest personalise activities? +
You tell Quest your child's age, interests, and any sensory sensitivities. Quest filters its library of 1,224 activities to show only what makes sense for them right now. With Curriculum Mode, a developmental assessment further tailors activity difficulty and domain focus to your child's actual level — not just their age.
What is Dodo? +
Dodo is Quest's mascot — an endlessly curious, slightly clumsy bird who guides children through activities in child mode. He cheers every small victory and makes the experience feel like an adventure rather than a task.
